My face gonna be yo face

here is the aesthetics. this will eventually be video clips that will play when roll over the clip. i think it is coming along pretty well. After i shoot the video i think i'll have this bitch in the bag. the biggest part of this whole ordeal will be the video so i got to crackin. render, edit that bitch, put it all together, code, and then presto ITS DONE. hopefully its that easy.

proposal 2

i will be building a face out of multiple clips of peoples face and have different play buttons to play sections of the different parts of the face that are synced together; mouth, eyes, nose, eye brows, etc. the different play buttons will make the videos play in sync as if the mouth was talking and have the eyes move and have different scenarios. showing the many different gestures of a person facial features as one. I will be using straight video to compose this project.

more (final)

instead of the selection screen taking you to a different page to play the clip i think it would be more appealing to have each of them to be able to play on that single page. maybe have the clips get larger and smaller each time you click on them so you can adjust each one.
mix and match.

analysis of personality (final)

this project will consist of different stop motion clips of different people. i will be using just the simple eye sight camera on my computer to capture the pictures. all the clips will be compiled on a grid and will be able to be selected to view using flash.

here is just fast little demonstration.

the reason why im using stop motion clips is one i enjoy using the technique and i think it captures more personality or it conveys more personality of the subject. it will be an expeirement on how people react to cameras and seeing what happens when you give the control to the subject control. the clips will consist of what ever the person feels like doing; eating, doing something crazy, brushing their teeth, picking their nose, it is totally up the person all i will be doing is capturing the images.

this will be the selection screen.

Idea for AUDIO!!!!

So i got this crazy idea to create a mad scientist lab with GAS music. i wanna have all these crazy glass gas holding containers filled full of this gas that is being connected to a human test subject. i will have multiple chambers of gas and everyone will be a different drum, guitar, bass, and maybe some synth tracks and every time you inject the human test subject it plays the track and morphs the test subject in to something crazy. I'm going to create the tracks my self through garage band using the computer drums and bass but using my own guitar, not something insanely crazy but a nice metal riff. there will be a little control panel that the user will be able to use to select tracks, volume, and panning.

here is a quick sketch

Crazy audio game!!!!!!!

Boomshine-is the name of the game.
its an audio game the has the little cirles that just float around and you click anywhere then it starts a chain reaction of exploding bubbles. the whole point is to bust as many bubbles as you can. the reason why i was drawn to it was because it was a little addicting i had to play the whole game until i won. i probably played it for 30 to 45 minutes straight.

Reaction Photo Booth

I think that the project was pretty successful. It was hard trying to figure out what type of imagery or video we should have showed  to get a reaction from the viewers. The simple audio and the still image we chose, I think was spot on, everyone at least jumped a little. What we found out is that people were interested in viewing the live feed back we had on the outside of the booth. I think watching the photo booth participant is were we need to follow up with for a future project. Have multiple monitors view the subject to see all the body language.

I DID ACTIONSCRIPT!!!! I LOVE LIFE!!!!

I finally got something working took all night but i did it! had couple technical problems uploading it to the blog as you can see my balls are hanging out, but its just when i post it to the web. If you couldn't tell, a wrecking ball comes down and destroys some objects at the bottom of the screen at the click of a button. I choose the objects by texting some of my friends asking if they could destroy anything with a wrecking ball what would it be, without letting them know what i was going to do with there statement. Came up with some pretty crazy ideas.

quiz

what's the difference between frame events and event handlers?
frame events trigger the execution of a particular script and the event handler is the movie.

landscape final

think I'm pretty satisfied with that progression with the digiscape. i don't think i want to use any more balls gets boring after awhile. I think that the circuit board cityscape works well as a little city working around and what not. There's a couple things i would do differently next time; be more clean, have all my layers named and not deal with balls anymore.

9/16

Man here's my shit!

Added a couple little do dods to my landscape. I found it very fustrating to work with both after effects and flash at the same time, gets a little confusing (also in dynamic imaging). I think I'm slowley progressing into something more complicated. I would like to be able to follow some of these dots around the scape but haven't figured it out yet. I start to move the background layer and all hell breaks loose like the shit goes postal. Ethier way I think I still more, there's only some many dots that I can move around. Maybe get a little crazy and add some exploding dots shooting fragments across the screen and having the whole scape shorting out.

Blah!

assignment writeup!

Working with the digital landscape in flash for the first time was quite difficult for me. I was having trouble getting some of the symbols to motion tween plus my illustrator file i brought in was doin something crazy. i watched some tutorials and figured out how to do some little stuff with some symbols. I'm not as far along as i want to be but i'll make it happen.

Quiz #1

1.Difference between symbol and instance?
a symbol can be animated instance is a non moveable object.
2.Difference between frame that has black circle and the empty one?
black circle is a shape, empty one is a symbol
3. two main reasons people use flash
animation and it's easy to use
4.You can motion between what?
keyframes with symbols
5. if you select an object how can you tell the difference between shape and symbol?
the symbol will show up in the symbol palette and the shape will not.

holy s*#t

Got every channel?

Think I'm DONE

I was really intersted in making a scape with circuit boards, not sure on how the circuit boards acutually work but i liked the ideal of all the different little circuits are all wired in a complex mess of stuff. I guess i felt that cities work the same way, all the crazyness is all wired together maybe not all working together but just as complex as a circuit board. Think i could use more depth and complexty with the scape i made to mimic the circuit board, and i think its a little to simple but a good starting point?

history of internet art

Will there be still be successful net art? And if not what would replace it?

Big ass pile of circuit boards

more landscape stuff i found

_almost looks like there trying to mimic the mountain range behind.

9/2

-landscape stuff

_wanna use satellite images or make a aerial view of a city made of circuit boards and have some other crazy shit.

8/28

A. What does net.art consist of, is it just any thing on the web? What about museums websites with art posted could that technically be called net.art? or does it specifically have to be made digitally?

B. I don't know to much about net.art, but shiftworks' showreel http://shiftwork.org.uk/other.html was kind of interesting. It consisted of audio and video synced together making type patterns into distorted dancers. the dancing type silhouettes in the beginning of the video was my favorite part. Most of the net.art i looked at seemed kind of cheesy to me but, I guess theres a need some were.

C.
1.i think all different kinds of art changes the perception. I think digital media has changed art in some sense. You able to be exposed to large amounts of art on the web by the click of a mouse.

2. I believe that the digital art now is more complex, but all the same. It's like any other art, like painting very classical back in the day to abstraction just a different way of going about it.

3. I'm not sure if i think net.art is art, doesn't have me fully convinced yet.

4. It would have to be extremely interesting and mind boggling for me to sit at the computer to view art. I enjoy leaving the house to see the surrounding area of the mueseum and the museum itself to get the full effect.

5. More digital media museums?
